We had our wedding in Moyvalley on November 1st 2024, from start to finish our coordinator Niamh Reilly made it so easy for us and was always on-hand to answer any questions and always accessible for advice.
The staff at Moyvalley could not have done any more for us, they looked after us and our families and friends so well all day long, they are a credit to Moyvalley resort, it made the day go so smooth and we didn't have to worry much. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful for photos and it is so quiet you feel like you are in another world.
I can't recommend Moyvalley high enough and our guests were highly impressed with the food and service.

We recently had our full wedding in Moyvalley Hotel on 4th October 2024. We had the ceremony in the Stone House, the drinks reception in Balyna House and the evening reception in the main hotel. Each and every part of the venue is beautiful and everything went off without a hitch.
We loved that they had different spaces that we could use throughout the day and there is a lovely mix of old and modern between the house and hotel. We also had day 2 in the golf club house and it was fantastic. Lots of guests commented that the food was fantastic all weekend and everyone was well fed. One of my friends has a lot of food allergies and she commented that she has never been more accommodated and full which usually is very difficult for her.
We wanted to say a special thank you to our wedding co-ordinator Niamh, who was just fantastic, so accommodating, knowledgeable, professional and always responsive to our queries. All of the staff were also brilliant, attentive and nothing was missed.
The grounds are fantastic and our photos look great too! Thank you to all the staff at Moyvalley, we would recommend to anyone getting married 1000%

We booked our wedding in Moyvalley two years ago and got married there in July. From the day we viewed the venue to the time we checked out after our wedding we had the best experience with everyone who works there. Everyone was so friendly and kept checking in on us which was so appreciated.
Ciara was our wedding coordinator and she was incredible from the very start. She was always quick to answer emails and was so helpful, nothing we asked for seemed too much for her and she was great at keeping everything running on the day. The venue was stunning and everyone complimented the ceremony space and the food (including the breakfast the next morning!). We had our day two in the golf club and we still felt so looked after and cared for.
We are so happy we booked Moyvalley. We would really recommend it to anyone looking for a private venue space with great service and food!

We had our wedding day on the 6th of July and we want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Moyvalley Hotel for the most fabulous wedding day. From start to finish everything was perfect.
Massive thank you to our wedding co-ordinator Niamh O’ Reilly who was phenomenal. Her super-efficient emails and phone calls making the planning easy from start to finish. Nothing was ever an issue for Niamh. She went above and beyond to ensure the day was flawless. Niamh’s attention to detail and dedication made us feel at ease throughout the entire wedding planning process.
To all the service staff in Moyvalley for being so polite, helpful, and accommodating to all our wedding guests.
The venue itself was so beautiful, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Balyna house was the perfect start for the drinks reception before making our way through the court yards and gardens surrounded by lovely flowers over to the hotel. Finishing off the night down in the Cellar Bar was a great way to end our celebrations.
So thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our special day. Thank you for making our wedding day everything we had hoped for and more.

Where do we start, our day was absolutely amazing from start to finish everything was Perfect & all thanks to our fabulous wedding co-ordinator Niamh, she was truly the best, she went above & beyond for us, anytime we had a question Niamh was straight on it to help us, she was always so friendly & we felt she was more like a friend, we couldn't of chose a better person then Niamh to ensure our day was as special as it was & the staff is Moyvalley are friendliest & nicest bunch who all our guests commented on how lovely everyone was.
The Stone House where we got married in was so beautiful & personal & has such a lovely authentic feel to it, Balyna House for reception & drinks, The Details in the house is beautiful & stunning backdrop on Stairs for photo's & again Staff services was so good & they were all smiling & in good form while serving our Guests, Can honestly say Moyvalley will hold a special place in our Hearts, We speak not only for ourselves but for all our Guests who some travelled from abroad that it was best wedding venue they have been & alot if it is down to the Niamh & the Staff, they made such a lasting impression & of course Moyvalley has outstanding beauty to it, If you want your dream wedding venue & best Staff to go along with it choose Moyvalley as ours was everything & more then we wished for:)

The PERFECT venue for our Big Day. We recently had our wedding at Moyvalley Hotel on June 22nd, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From start to finish, everything was perfect.
Our wedding coordinator, Niamh O'Reilly, was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. Her attention to detail and dedication made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself. From church venues, to dog sitters, Niamh offered a solution for anything we needed. Everything we asked for was covered, no detail was missed and we were blessed to have Niamh as our wedding coordinator. Our wedding party had a contingent of 12 kids under 5 and the hotel were fantactic in organising in house babysitters. A big thank you to Gemma, who looked after our little girl for a period of time across the weekend. Moyvalley as a venue was superb. Balyna House provided a stunning backdrop for our drinks reception after the church and Day 2 celebrations.
The historic charm and beautiful surroundings made it the ideal location, offering a feel of an Italian Wedding. Balyna House also offered a wonderful hidden Gem called the 'Cellar Bar', located downstairs in Balyna house, the perfect setting for a late drink & a sing song after the main event. The main hotel was equally impressive, offering a perfect setting for our meal and evening music.
We had 160 guests, the main hotel could comfortably hold more. Over the 2 days, the food was outstanding. From the finger food, to the main meal, it was amazing. We opted for the fillet steak for mains, and it was cooked to perfection. The presentation was impeccable, and the service was swift, ensuring our guests were well taken care of. Everyone raved about the food on day 1 & day 2. For Day 2, we opted for the BBQ and Pizza option, it was 10/10! Again, anything we asked for in the build up for our menu was perfect on the big day. Hotel were exceptional in every way, providing top-notch service that truly enhanced our wedding experience. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, professional, and friendly, making sure that every detail was taken care of with the utmost precision. Their warm hospitality and genuine care for our guests were evident throughout the day, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and comfortable. The waitstaff were efficient and courteous, serving everything with a smile.
We honestly can't fault the venue in any way, we fell in love with it instantly & we're so pleased we had our Big Day here. Moyvalley Hotel made our big day incredibly special and memorable.
We highly recommend Moyvalley Hotel for any couple looking for a dream wedding venue.

We couldn't be happier with our wedding at Moyvalley Hotel! As an Austrian-German couple living in Ireland, we had many international guests, and Moyvalley provided the perfect setting for our special day.
The welcome dinner the night before was a fantastic start to the celebrations. About 80% of our guests traveled from abroad and they all loved the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The grounds of Moyvalley are picturesque, and our guests enjoyed exploring them on the morning of the wedding. The ceremony in the beautiful stone house was intimate and charming, and the reception in the stunning Balyna House was simply perfect. The weather was absolutely beautiful on our wedding day, so that we could stay outside during reception and enjoy the sunshine. Having everything in one place made the day seamless and stress-free. Our guests also appreciated staying at the venue for two nights, with many commenting on the comfort and quality of the rooms.
From the moment we started planning, we felt we were in good hands with Ciara, our wedding coordinator. Her flexibility with timings, coordinating guests, and last-minute room arrangements were exceptional. She was there every step of the way, including perfectly timing the entrance for the bride and bridesmaids. The staff at Moyvalley were incredibly friendly and perfectly organised. We felt very much at ease during our day and didn't have to worry about anything. The food was delicious and plentiful, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. We particularly loved the change of setting when moving downstairs to the Cellar Bar in the night, and the only point of improvement we would suggest is to open the Cellar Bar sooner, perhaps at 12:30 instead of 1:30 am. We would highly recommend Moyvalley Hotel to every couple!
The value for money is perfect, and the venue's beauty, combined with the convenience of having everything on-site, made our wedding day absolutely magical. For those with many guests wanting to stay overnight, Moyvalley is ideal with its numerous hotel rooms.
We also appreciated Moyvalley's flexibility with guest numbers. It can accommodate large weddings of 150+ people, but it was also perfect for our smaller wedding of approximately 75 guests.
From start to finish, our wedding day was perfect in every way.

We had the most amazing day at Moyvalley for our wedding. We and our families stayed in the cottages the night before and from the moment we checked in the staff were excellent. Getting ready in the cottages made everything so easy and the staff moved our bags over to Balyna house during the ceremony so we didn’t have to think of anything.
We had our humanist ceremony in the Stonehouse and I cannot think of a more beautiful venue. Niamh and Simon were on hand to round up any stragglers among the guests and make sure everything was good to go.
We had our drinks reception and dinner and dancing all in Balyna house. Everything ran so smoothly for the whole day. Some of the staff saved some of the canapés for us as we had missed most of them when getting photos done, this was much appreciated. Brendan was on hand through the drinks reception and meal and checked in with us to make sure we were happy, he also made sure our flowers were safe in the cold room at the end of the night so we could take them the next day.
Our meal was rated so highly among our guests and we couldn’t fault any of the food! The Cellar bar is a great spot for the end of your night. Several of the staff were amazing with helping our guests getting around the venue. Our wedding coordinator was Niamh and she has been a pleasure to deal with from the very beginning. Quick to answer any questions and help any way she could.
We would recommend Moyvalley and Balyna House to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

We just want to say a huge heartfelt thank you for all the organising and setting up you did for our wedding day. We had the most amazing day ever and its all thanks to how organised you are! Everything went so smoothly (apart from me being late lol, there was a wardrobe emergency!!).
The venue was just stunning, our guests are still talking about how beautiful The Stone House and Balyna House is. The food was amazing, and all the staff were just incredible. A big thank you to Brendan also, he was just brilliant on the day. We just couldn't have asked for the day to go any better.
We also want to leave a separate review for Cora. My God she is amazing!! Ethan absolutely adored her and was so happy with her all day. Again everyone was commenting on how well she fitted in around the place, many people asked if she was a relative! She is so kind and caring and looked after Ethan so well, we didn't worry about him once.

Moyvalley hotel was the most spectacular venue for our wedding. Balyna House is beautiful and excellent for our drinks reception all our guests were blown away by how gorgeous the place was. The staff in Moyvalley went above and beyond for us on the day and nothing was ever an issue on the day for them. Ciara our co ordinator was fantastic nothing was ever an issue for her she made the planning of the wedding so much easier for us and took care of everything on the day. I would recommend Moyvalley as a wedding venue for any couples getting married. Our guests are still talking about how stunning it was and how amazing the food was.

Your attention to detail and responsiveness was outstanding, even when your patience may well have been wearing thin with all of our last-minute queries.

We had an amazing day in Balyna House for our wedding. The staff were very professional and helpful. Everything we discussed and requested was perfect on the day. Ciara our wedding co-ordinator was absolutely fantastic. She was so knowledgeable, kind, responsive to contact and supportive the whole way through. It really helped with the planning process knowing we had someone to talk through things with. We were so happy with our day and enjoyed it all so much. Amazing day in an amazing venue! We were delighted that we choose Balyna House in Moyvalley Hotel for our wedding. From the first time we meet Ciara she could not have been more helpful and thought of things we never would have ourselves. The Stonehouse was the perfect venue for our ceremony. It is intimate without being small, and as a result it really felt like our guests were part of the ceremony. Balyna House is beautiful and felt like our home for the day. Our family loved their bedrooms, which are spacious and comfortable. There was lots of space in the house for guests to relax in throughout the day, and the grounds are perfect on a sunny day. Our guests commented on how relaxed the whole day was, but that was down to the professionalism of Ciara and all the team, who made sure we didn't have to worry about anything. The food was superb - fresh, tasty and cooked beautifully. We stayed in the bridal cottage the night before, which was the perfect place to get ready in on the morning of our wedding, with lots of space for hair and makeup. Breakfast was even delivered so there was no pressure on us on the morning. The hotel provides all the accommodation guests could need, which means that everything you need is on site. We could not recommend Moyvalley Hotel highly enough for a wedding.

We fell in love with the place at first sight, then upon meeting the staff and seeing the packages we knew it was the perfect venue for us. Having various venues within the one complex made Moyvalley the ideal location to celebrate our wedding day. We had our ceremony and drinks reception in Balyna House, then the hotel for the reception. We had our Day 2 celebration in Balyna House too. The staff were so friendly and all of our guests commented on this. From the first day we went to Moyvalley and met Simon he was a knowledgeable and approachable person really put us at ease. Ciara, our wedding coordinator, was incredible. She was able to answer all the questions we had during our planning, was so professional and was eager to make our day the best day possible. She made us feel so special and looked after. Brendan, the manager that was on duty for the weekend for our wedding was amazing. Nothing was a problem, everything was looked after. He was enthusiastic and so helpful - even at the end of long days (and nights). We were amazed at the value of their packages and the quality of their suppliers - from food and drinks to the floral arrangements. Everything was beautiful. The hotel rooms and facilities are of a very high standard, in Balyna House and the hotel itself. We would highly recommend Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort as a wedding venue for any couples working on the wedding planning journey. We could not fault any part of the lead up to our Wedding Day or on the day itself. Everything was perfect. Emails were responded to very swiftly and Niamh our coordinator could not do enough for us. On the day the manager was excellent, asked were we happy with everything on numerous occasions. We had our speeches and drinks reception in Balyna House before moving over to the hotel for dinner. Doing this is Balyna house was perfect if you're looking for a something a little different and chilled. Would 100% recommend Moyvalley Hotel and Balyna House for a Wedding.

We really had the best day; we were delighted we chose to have our wedding in Moyvalley. Staying in the cottage the night before made everything run so smoothly, as already being at the venue gave us so much time to get ready and really enjoy the morning and the build-up to the day. The cottage was beautiful, everyone who came in commented on it. The Stone house and Balyna House were perfect for our day, having the privacy of the house to ourselves for the day was amazing. After two years of lock downs it was just so nice to all be together again, having fun. The room, bedrooms, everything in Balyna House was just Beautiful!
Yourself, Ciara and all the staff on the day, you all couldn't have been more helpful. You made it all so easy for us, on an occasion which can be stressful, nothing was too much to ask and everything was done with a smile. It was a perfect day thanks to all of you!
Having such a lovely place to stay on site, a beautiful ceremony room and the most perfect venue in Balyna house all in the one place, it really does make Moyvalley a perfect venue for any wedding! Thank you all so much!
